Briefing and videos for the groupwork on Friday afternoon
How to handle challenges in virtual meeting situations:
- You work according to the world cafe method and are dealing with specific challenges in virtual meetings.
- Please divide into three subgroups. (preferably in the room).
Round 1:
- In each group, take 30 minutes to watch and discuss one of the three bad-practice videos below.
Please collect your ideas and tool tips: How could the moderator resolve the situation better? What could he do to make the situation more positive and productive? - Please record your thoughts on a flipchart so that a reader can make sense of them.
Round 2:
- After 30 minutes, each group takes a second video and adds their thoughts to the previous group’s flipchart.
Round 3:
- Change again after 30 minutes: each group takes a third video and adds their thoughts to the flipchart of the previous group.
Make sure that each group has seen and discussed all three videos at the end of the process.
In this way, 3 toolboxes with comments and tipps on the various challenges for the virtual space are created in 90 minutes.
Feel free to incorporate a break of 20 min.
